You received your new helmet shield and now it is time to install it. I made a short youtube video explaining the process but I will also put the process below.
Here is a short summary of the video
- Remove your old fire helmet shield
- Wet the back of your new shield with water.
- Place new shield on helmet and align exactly where you want it.
- Push the shield hard against the screw holes on your helmet. This will mark where to drill
- Remove shield and drill through holes that were marked. Drill back to front
- Install new shield on to the helmet
Tools that are needed
- Screw driver or adjustable wrench (depends on helmet mounting)
- Drill and drill bit slightly larger than mounting screw
- Water and towel
