Here you can see Dorinda, our shield craftsperson, using a hot foil stamp to imprint the letters and numbers onto the leather. For those shields that require reflective panels, a special thermal transfer foil printer is used to print onto commercial grade (ATSM 4956) retro-reflective heat stable vinyl, which is placed between the layers of leather. This assures that when the heat is on, your shield won’t fail.
